Morgan starred as a woman on the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. Morgan donated a portion of her earnings towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the chief fundraiser for other projects, and she also testified at a special Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop's previous deputy surgeon general requested occasionally to substitute for him at AIDS awareness programs. In addition, she was host of a AIDS Awareness Special hosted by Steve Bell. Morgan has been on Nightline alongside Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan has received an Emmy nomination for a particular episode on Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. Morgan co-starred in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife in the spring along with Joan Rivers. Her summer started by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It was also co-starring Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Her next project took Morgan to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady which also starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also in the psycho thriller made by USA Network. The film garnered one of its highest ratings ever.
